Saturday night we went to see Jim Gaffigan live in Midwest City, OK. Woo hoo! It was hilarious and I never stopped laughing. The theater was packed full of what looked mostly like college students and there was a lady behind us whose laugh was so awful that I couldn't tell if it was someone laughing or someone randomly yelling things out during the show. I kept expecting Jim to get caught off guard by it or make fun of the lady. But aside from that it was very enjoyable show. I believe this might be the one time I can think of when nothing out of the ordinary happened to me and I didn't have any freak encounters with weird people. Sorry for the lack of story but here's a clip for those of you who may not know who Jim Gaffigan is...

Happy Birthday America!

As many of you may know, the 4th of July is my all time favorite holiday! I think I enjoy it because there's no pressure to buy everyone great gifts and there's not much of the usual holiday stress. It's a relaxing time to kick back, grill out and watch some fireworks.

This year I will be celebrating our nation's independence in Dallas. We will be watching FC Dallas play a great game of soccer against...well, I'm not actually sure who they're playing. But soccer is pretty fun to watch no matter what so I'm excited. The festivities will be starting in the afternoon with an FC Dallas experience (whatever that is) and tailgating party followed by a concert featuring Freddy from the Kidd Kraddick in the morning show. Can anyone fill me on who this is? I've never heard of him or listened to the show.

After the game we get to watch the north Texas largest and most spectacular fireworks display choreographed in stadium with music and video. That is taken directly from the online schedule. The "largest and most spectacular" show is a pretty big promise so I hope it lives up to the hype. The fireworks are my favorite part so I don't want to be disappointed. Then we'll end the evening with The Temptations review featuring Dennis Edwards.

I hope your 4th is just as exciting!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!!!!!!!!
